I love how Delilah says Blankley and not Blankey.  It's really cute.

today is one of those days.  mom with no energy and kids with a lot of energy.

last night delilah got out of bed and hid while eating chocolate.  needless to say i was a little upset.  she is grounded from tom and jerry today.  she is obsessed with ton and jerry.  these acts of disobeying are cute but so bugging at the same time.  you want to laugh, but you want to discipline too.  so hard.

i met chloë walking home from a friends house today.  i almost started crying when i saw her.  she is so grown up.  its definitely hard to be a mother of young children, but at the same time its so sad that they are growing up so fast.  i want to remember their little faces, bodies and voices forever.

cakies is a pill today! she hasn't been like this forever so i don't even know how to handle it.  even my friend stopped by and said she's never seen her like this.  maybe she is getting some chuckers or something.

Delilah is crazy. She says really funny prayers. In fact alice got her knick name during one of her prayers: "and bless baby cakies..." another one went something like this:"Heavenly meow meow, bless baby Alice, bless baby Alice, bless baby Alice, bless baby Alice amen". Her classic closer is "in the name of Jesus Christ, a-meow meow.
Chloe has turned out to be quite the book worm. She is obsessed with reading. She is an excellent reader and has discovered dr Sues books which she seems to be quite fond of.
As for cakes, to borrow a line from Delilah "she's the cutest baby I never did see"

what a day for mom. Christmas and cleaning are soooo stressful. I tried to take a nap and in 10 minutes Delilah managed to eat 5 Hershey's kisses and chew 8 pieces of gum. them she brought me a candy cane cuz she couldn't open it. haha. stinker

Chloe bursts in the front door after school saying "happy holidays". so cute.

cakies was kinda crabby today like me. she needs to practice sitting up

dunked

today we spent the afternoon at the beach and swimming in the pool. Chloe was a mermaid in a previous life. she loves the water and is so great at swimming. I love watching her be brave in the ocean with her boogie board and all her funny tricks in the pool.

Delilah really came out of her shell In the water this past summer. she used to sit on the steps and do nothing but now she is super woman with her floaties. she really comes alive in the pool. flips, spins, and tricks are her favorite past times

Alice loves water too bath time is so fun for her. in the pool she gets so excited. she squeezes and squeals with excitement. today we dunked her all the way under 2 times. she was really confused but didn't seem to mind.

memories of Chloe

some of my fondest memories of little Chloe happened at our first house in Provo. In the summer one of our favorite pass times was to sit on the front porch and drink lime Jarrito's. We would often go to grandma and grandpa Millers house. One day Grandpa bought a cat. When we walked in the door Chloe immediately pointed to the cat and yelled "Bobo!". Naturally the cat was named Bobo. For a long time after that Chloe would say baba-bapa-bobo in reference to grandma, grandpa and Bobo

This morning Chloe and Delilah were playing so nicely in there room together. It must have been the culmination of the nativity scene, star wars figurines, super man and the Peter pan characters that brought about such a peaceful Christmas spirit

today Alice woke up crying from her nap. Chloe asked if she could climb in her crib to tell her a story. (Chloe is very good at asking permission for things) she tried to keep Alice happy but it only worked for a few minutes. I was sewing and watching a morrissey video Chloe came in and said,"oh your watching morrissey. can I watch it too?" then she said,"now I like morrissey's songs better than Justin beaver(bieber)'s songs." haha

the girls were excited to decorate their tree tonight before we went to the ward Christmas party. I actually didn't touch the ornaments this year. so the tree is exactly how they set it up.

at about 10:30pm Delilah came downstairs wide awake with full volume. she just acts like it's not a big deal that she is supposed to be in bed and asleep 2 hours before. you want to be annoyed, but something about that age makes you not care.

funny kids

hey kids, sorry dad has been terrible at keeping a journal. you are all really cute and funny! I love you so much! I am going to try and post funny things you do/memories on a consistent basis so here goes: Chloe, you are really cute but can sometimes have quite an attitude! it's really funny/bugging when you start mouthing off and doing the frizzy fro bobble head! Delilah, last night mom was cuddling with you in bed. You two were being so cute together. When mom asked you if she could say the prayer you whispered " yes, but you have to get out of my bed first...". We all cracked up! Alice, I can't believe you are 6 months old! you are super cute and I love how stoked you get to take a nap! we lay you down and you kick like crazy then roll over and lights out!

in the evening we all packed in the van and headed to the boat parade. it was a lot of waiting and not much parading.
the girls had a good attitude and we got to see some friends there.

at home we were watching Delilah do hula dancer and we were laughing so hard Chloe started choking. it was super scary and I'm so happy Gerrit was home cuz if I was alone I would have been freaking out. she was so sad when we headed up to bed he didn't want to do anything but cuddle with Jo mama and read frog and toad

articles of faith

tonight was the Naples ward primary activity. Chloe memorized 3 articles of faith which entitles her to 3 toppings on her ice cream. she let me know it didn't matter cuz she only wanted 2 toppings.

Delilah came to the activity too and didn't sit down once until I gave her ice-cream. not sure how this sunbeam thing is gonna go in less than a month.

Gerrit hid under delilahs covers and when she came to bed she said,"hey, my covers are all messed up" when she pulled them back Gerrit scared her. that didn't go over well. she started crying and said,"that's my bed. you stole my bed". she was heartbroken. Gerrit apologized and gave her her bed back.

I snuggled in bed with Delilah while Gerrit read the scriptures. when it was time for prayer Delilahs thumb pointed at me. I folded my arms and closed my eyes. then I got a tap and a whisper,"get out of my bed to say the prayer"

cakies was wide awake today for my walk, my shopping and my lunch. she loves to be social.
