Delilah talk

Mom last night there was a bug in my room. It was going bzzzzz in my ear. I came and slept in your bed cuz it was bugging' me out.


Mom Alice's cheeks are really cheepy. Remember when I was a baby and my cheeks were cheepy?

just a perfect day. great song.

today we spent the day at the beach. the water was crystal clear, the weather was great. cakies had an awesome time in the sand and naked in the water. Delilah spent most the day in the water. after we came home and all went to the pool. these days never get old.

while I was making dinner Alice discovered the stairs. she managed to get up on the first step but getting down she wasn't so lucky. she bonked hard. I felt so bad for her.

Delilah got new sunglasses that have checkers on the side. she said"look mom chuckers" haha.

Delilah has turned into a little mermaid. Chloë is such a sweet big sister. she watches her like a hawk to make sure Shes not drowning. cute sisters

dog lover

today we were dropping off girl scout cookies to a neighbor. she has 2 cute little dogs. Chloë just loves those dogs. she could play forever. it's sweet to see how much she cares for animals

valentine

today is v day. Gerrit is still gone so I had 3 little girl valentines. we had a great time eating our annual pink dinner. everyone thinks its weird and gross but we live it. gigi did it when I was little. I love my valentines and Gerrit too!

Gerrit is out of town on a clinical rotation. I'm not sure if Delilah really understands that. last night she woke me up at 3am and this is what was said. "hi mom. why are you just sleeping by yourself?" "because dads at the hospital" "oh I'll sleep with you. let me go grab my blankley"

what a sweetheart

Chloe is growing up and is such a good older sister. Alice has been sick for a few days. She and mother stayed home from church today. At church Chloe mentioned that she wanted to say a special prayer for Alice as soon as we got home. The moment we walked in the door Chloe asked if she could pray for Alice, and gave the most beautiful little prayer asking Heavenly Father to help Alice feel better. Later that day Alice seemed to be feeling better, Chloe said "see, Heavenly Father is helping Alice, a little bit!". That night Chloe told me I should give Alice a blessing with the "special oil". I am so thankful to see my little girl growing up in the gospel and starting to develop her own testimony! Delilah, on the other hand, is still figuring out the basics of the gospel. About 6 months ago during family scripture reading she quite factually stated "the Holy Ghost eats bugs and grass." Every time we read the scriptures she looks at me and says "and the good guys, and the bad guys?? Lilah is starting to say some good little prayers on her own. Today was her last day in nursery. Next week she'll be a sunbeam!
